What a month of June

The first two weeks in June in the store was incredibly busy, it made me think twice about closing, I had more sales in the first 2 weeks of June then the entire month of April or May. (Too bad is wasn't enough.)

On top of that, I went on a field trip with Andrea to the Lava Caves, that was a lot of fun, I plan to take the boys back this summer (when the walls start getting smaller). She had a lot of fun too, and still talks about it.

I went on a field trip with Daniel to the High Desert Museum, it was wierd, nothing seemed to be planned out, nobody knew anything, and nobody was in charge. I have a feeling that is how his entire first grade year was though. I drove my own car because I had to take Anthony and Ryan with me, so we were able to stay later then the class and I was able to take Daniel to see some of the places that are the main points, like the otters and the birds! I plan on taking all the kids later this summer. The High Desert Museum Usually has a special for kids to get in free. It is normally a really fun place to go.

I also had to plan for Cub Scout Day Camp for the 3rd week in June. I committed last year, not realizing I wouldn't have any boys involved, I assumed Jesse would be helping and Daniel would be finishing Tiger Cubs. It didn't work out for Daniel, his meetings were on Sunday afternoon, and I just counld'nt do that after working all week, that was our only day to stay home and do nothing and everything at the same time. Anyway, I forgot all about Day Camp this year. 3 weeks before day camp, one of the leaders reminded me, oops. I made it happen though. I was in charge of the Tot Lot, which is my favorite place in day camp. Tot Lot is where the other parent voluteers take siblings who are not in Day Camp, basically the childcare. Even through the heat, and choas of Tot Lot, and Day camp, it was still all worthit. Daniel did get to participate in cub scouts, and the theme was space, so now he wants to learn more about space, and whenit comes down to it, I prefer space over dinos. He loves Cub Scouts, at day camp they got to work with pocket knives and shoot guns, and shoot arrows, they also made a time capsule and collected marbles at each station so the last day they were able to teach the kids how to play the game of marbles. He is looking forward to participating in cub scouts when they start up again. I am going to make it happen this year, even if I have to become the leader again.

The 4th week of June I had to finish moving my stuff out of the store and get it painted. It took 4 coats of paint and finally I had to use my expensive kind. I made it white though. I am so glad to be done with that building.
